All American Season 6 Updates: Impact of Strikes and Potential Changes

Initially slated for a fall 2023 premiere, All American Season 6 faced delays due to ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes. As of October 2nd, the writers’ strike has concluded, signaling the beginning of work on the new season by the All American writing team. Fans now await a resolution to the actors’ strike to prevent further production setbacks.

While dedicated fans may hope for a full episode count when Season 6 debuts in 2024, it’s advisable to brace for a potential reduction. The strikes and midseason premiere could lead to a slightly smaller episode count compared to the previous 20-episode fifth season. Notably, The CW has already announced shortened seasons for other shows like ‘Walker’ and ‘Superman & Lois,’ which may also affect ‘All American.’

Upon the series’ return, viewers may encounter a different cast lineup. Taye Diggs’ character, Billy Baker, met an unfortunate end in Season 5, Samantha Logan’s character, Olivia Baker, decided to spend a year in London, and Chelsea Tavares’ character, Patience Robinson, faced a dramatic incident in the season finale. Their fates remain uncertain for Season 6.

When will season 6 come to Netflix?

Predicting the exact Netflix release date for All American Season 6 poses a challenge due to the delays caused by the ongoing strikes. The season must conclude its run on The CW before it becomes available on the streaming platform, but uncertainties surround the commencement of the sixth season. Typically, new seasons have premiered on The CW in October, but due to the strikes, the start date has been postponed to 2024.

Initially rumored to begin production in the summer of 2023, the season’s production is now likely to commence later in the year or even early 2024, leading to a delay in the airing schedule. However, if some scripts were prepared before the strikes, the production may not be significantly impacted when the actors’ strike is resolved.

Historically, new seasons of All American have reached Netflix approximately eight days after concluding on The CW. In the last two seasons (Seasons 4 and 5), they arrived on Netflix in May. If Season 6 starts airing in early 2024 and wraps up in May 2024, the season may appear on Netflix in May 2024. Nevertheless, any further delays in the filmmaking process could postpone the Netflix release, potentially to the summer or fall of 2024. All American seasons 1-5 are streaming on Netflix.

Rest assured, we will promptly share the official Netflix release date once it’s officially announced.
